This amazing venue features 12 Theme Worlds with over 15,000m of track and more than 1,000 trains plus buildings, figures, cars, and aircraft that appear to take-off with around 250 flights per day! DAY 3

After breakfast this morning, we board our train to the picturesque old town of Flensburg for the spectacular 'Dampf Rundum' steamboat festival. Every two years ship owners bring their vintage steamboats and craft to Flensburg for this amazing event, and we will enjoy a full day to explore, sample the local food and drink, enjoy the atmosphere, and take a tour of the festival by boat (of course!).

B

DAY 4

Today, we will experience one of the following fantastic heritage railway journeys (final details and confirmation will be provided closer to the time):
Journey on the historic Jan Harpstedt Railway in Delmenhorst OR
Steam on the charming, narrow-gauge railway at Bruchhausen-Vilsen OR
Ride the nostalgic Angelner Steam Train in Kappeln
After our scenic day of heritage, we return to Hamburg for an evening at leisure.

DAY 5

After breakfast this morning, we take our train to Rostock where we will discover this charming city on a guided tour by vintage tram visiting the highlights of the city. Afterwards, we continue to the InterCity Hotel in Rostock, our hotel for the next three nights, where we have some time at leisure before our evening meal together at a local restaurant.

DAY 6

After breakfast, we continue our adventure at one of the most popular lines in Northern Germany, the Molli Steam Railway, where we will experience a ride over the line including the famous street running section before enjoying an exclusive photography session and guided tour of the depot. This afternoon, we have made a special arrangement to have a private lineside bus at our disposal chasing the trains for amazing photo opportunities.

DAY 7

This morning, we travel by rail to Putbus on Rügen Island for a return ride over Rasender Roland (or Raging Roland as it is affectionately known), a 24km long, steam-powered, narrow-gauge railway which began operations in 1985. This idyllic light railway runs daily, and we will enjoy a nostalgic journey from Putbus to Göhren and return.

DAY 8

Today, we make our way to Wuppertal to ride the unique 'Schwebebahn' suspended monorail - Wuppertal's landmark - dating from the early 1900's and floating high above the River Wupper covering 20 stations (only 4 of which run above solid ground!). We continue to the Spark by Hilton Hotel for our overnight stay and enjoy our final evening meal together.

B, D

We bid farewell to Wuppertal and to Germany, returning by rail to Brussels, where we will join the Eurostar service to London St Pancras.
