Bratislava Steam & Heritage Rail Festival

Celebrate steam heritage at one of Europe's premier railway events. DAY 1

Rail departure from London via Brussels and Frankfurt to Regensburg. Evening meal and overnight stay.

Continue by rail to Bratislava via Vienna. Enjoy a wine tasting and evening meal. Four-night stay at a centrally located 4-star hotel.

DAY 3

Morning private vintage tram tour of Bratislava and visit to the Transport Museum. Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 4

Excursion to Nitra by road for a special steam charter at the Agricultural Museum. Visit Red Stone Castle en route back to Bratislava.

DAY 5

Steam-hauled train to the Railway Museum for day one of the Bratislava Steam Festival. Full day at the event with live demonstrations and displays. Return by heritage shuttle train.

Return to the festival for a scenic mainline steam run through the countryside. Farewell dinner in a local restaurant.

Depart Bratislava via Vienna to Frankfurt. Overnight stay.

we endeavour to ensure the journey will be made by steam train,

we must reserve the right to either travel by heritage deisel train,

or visit an alternative attraction, should the steam train be unavailable

or not be timetabled for whatever reason at the time of our visit.
